National Head of Operations (Asset Management)

The Role

Performance Property is seeking an exceptional Head of Operations for our Asset Management division to lead and drive national operations.

Reporting to the Executive Committee, this high-level role is responsible for leading and driving Asset Management operations nationwide, delivering performance excellence and growth.

This strategic role focuses on driving process and service delivery alignment through training and innovation and overseeing the financial performance and structure of each department to build a profitable business.

Through creativity, leadership, communication and technical capabilities, the successful candidate will be supported to change the way property management is done in Australia.

The Duties

To help us achieve our mission and vision, the successful candidate will bring their ideas and creativity to this newly created position. Below is a list of responsibilities that will form part of this role:

  • Oversee national operations across Asset Management departments.
  • Drive innovation and implement new initiatives to deliver efficiency, growth and profitability.
  • Improve Communication and Service Delivery through integrating various divisions and technology systems.
  • Guide and mentor Department Managers.
  • Streamline processes with Department Managers for a consistent client experience.
  • Provide support with onboarding and implementing new systems and tools.
  • Coordinate and host biannual division meetings with Department Managers from all States.
  • Lead Change Management initiatives and address structural gaps.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding and talent retention.
  • Identify and coordinate training requirements for Department Managers and staff.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports (KPIs, budgets, forecasts).
  • Ensure compliance with State and National regulations.
  • Serve as the senior contact for key national portfolio clients.
  • Chair the Asset Management Committee.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced leader with proven expertise in senior operations management. While a background in Property Management is important, we’re also looking for candidates who have experience in a related leadership position, such as a General or Operations Manager role in a national business or franchise.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong national leadership background and hands-on technical proficiency in Property Management.
  • Exceptional leadership, mentorship and communication skills.
  • Available for frequent interstate and international travel to lead and develop teams
  • Ability to design and implement technology systems with a proactive approach to innovation.
  • Annual police clearance (required).
  • Full Australian working rights.
  • Melbourne based.
